We’re here to explore some of the programs that keep students engaged and on the path to graduation right here in New Hampshire.
One opportunity is City Year. Like Americorps, it's a national service program. City Year is focused on supporting students who are falling off track. They do this in a variety of ways. Joining us to talk about the City Year program in New Hampshire are:

We’re here to talk about the path to high school graduation right here in New Hampshire. One opportunity available for students in the state is the Evening Division program at Timberlane Regional High school in Plaistow where teachers redesigned the curriculum to keep students in school.
Joining me now are Scott Strainge, Director of Secondary Education at the Timberlane Regional School District, Ryan Richman a teacher at Timberlane Regional High School and Emily Stikeman, a Timberlane Senior.

One opportunity available for students in the state is Eagle Academy at Kennett High School in North Conway. It teams with the non-profit organization known as JAG; Jobs for America’s Graduates. Both programs focus on students who are most at risk for dropping out of school. Joining us with more details about the program are JAG youth specialist Maxine Cadman, academic support and special education teacher Kim Orr, and Rachelle Cox student advocate and director of Eagle Academy.

The Big Brothers, Big Sisters program provides children facing adversity with one on one support both in the community and the classroom.
Joining us from the seacoast chapter to share more about the program are executive director Stacey Kramer, big brother Dave O'Neil and little brother Conner O'Brien.
